Borja-Medina, Julio César

I am an Industrial Physics Engineer, graduated from Monterrey campus in 1987. I have a Master of Science degree from CICESE and a Ph.D. in Management with a specialty in Strategy, graduated from Tec de Monterrey Campus Mexico City. I have worked at Tec for almost 25 years. I have been director of professional division in the Campus SLP and Director of the School of Business at the Toluca campus. Since 2003, I am a full time professor at the Business School in the Toluca campus. My areas of expertise are strategic planning and implementation, innovation in business model, as well as learning strategic implementation through the use of large scale robust simulators. I have more than 15 years of experience as a consultant in Mexican organizations and companies using qualitative and quantitative methodologies. I was part of the research group "Competitiveness in the Supply Chain. I am the author of two books: Forecasting for Decision-Making and another on Market Intelligence with a Multivariate Statistical Approach. I have been an ontological certified coach for 20 years, an Equine Assisted Learning Coach and an Internationally Gallup Certified Strengths Coach. My main motivation in my discipline is to help strengthen and empower organizations in their leadership and in their direction and execution of their strategy. I am passionate about significantly influencing my students.

Originally from Durango, Dgo. I am 52 years old, married to Bertha Beatriz since 1987. We have two wonderful children, Yesenia Beatriz and Julio, 22 and 23 years old respectively. Yesenia entering her professional studies this year and Julio attending his high school. With very different personalities, but with a great love for his family. My parents were Sara and Javier originally from Jalisco and Durango. Loving and endearing parents. Both already deceased. I have four sisters and two brothers. All professionals, great brothers, spread throughout the country. I consider myself a person with several strengths that have defined and influenced my life in a very important way. I have been a learner all my life. I have almost learned what I have set out to do and what I have needed throughout my professional career. I have also stood out for having and applying strategic thinking, with a broad vision. I have excelled all my life in my analytical skills, I am passionate about seeing the facts, but also understanding the system that causes those effects. I consider myself a person with a great focus on the activities and challenges I face. Finally, I am a person with a high level of confidence in what I am and what I can do. My main motivation in my discipline is to help empower my students. I am passionate about educating and significantly influencing my students and thus contributing to the real improvement of Mexico. I love my country, its culture, its music, my origins.
