Tiscareño-García, Elizabeth

Overview

My name is Elizabeth Tiscareño García. I'm Mexican. I was born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, I have more than 30 years of living in Monterrey. I have lived in several parts of Mexico, which has allowed me to know different types of culture. I studied journalism, then political analysis and media and got my PhD in Humanistic Studies. I also had the opportunity to study six months in Trinidad and Tobago, as well as another semester at the Autonomous University of Madrid in Spain. In addition to the subjects of communication and journalism, I also have gender and migration studies. I believe that gender requires a permanent and constant study to apply knowledge daily and achieve a better society. I worked in the public and private sectors. For more than 10 years I directed news departments, mainly on television, radio, and website. I enjoyed training reporters and editors, as well as taking charge of news content, human resources, and operations. I´m interested in the professorship and research; both allow you to share knowledge. I´m interested in constant learning to get better personal and group development. I like to read, cooperate in research projects, and publish my research. Also, I like to travel. I'm single. I have two sisters and two brothers, plus nine nephews. I´m very close with my family.
