Hernández-Moreno, Fresia Paloma

I have a PhD with Orientation in Psychology and Master of Science with Orientation in Health Psychology, from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and a Bachelor of Psychology with Clinical emphasis, from the Universidad de Occidente. I did a Postdoctoral Research stay in the Clinical Sciences Doctorate program of the Escuela de Medicina y Ciencias de la Salud of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, at the same time that I joined the undergraduate program in Clinical and Health Psychology, as a professor and clinical supervisor at the same Institution. I have done research stays at the Universidad de Valencia, Spain and at the Fundación Instituto Valenciano de Oncología. I am a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), as well as the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS). Furthermore, I have written some scientific articles of health psychology, published in indexed international journals. My line of research is "Psychosocial variables related to health" specifically: psychological variables in cancer patients and psychosocial variables related to eating behavior. I have international training in contextual therapies: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Behavioral Activation Therapy. In 2018 I obtained a scholarship to attend the ACBS World Conference, in Montreal, Canada, being the first Mexican to obtain this scholarship. For three years I was clinical supervisor at the Centro Académico de Atención en Bienestar Integral (CAABI)-TecSalud Foundation. In addition, I have actively participated in the development and implementation of Semana I projects, since 2016 and I am part of the Aspectos Académicos de Área Team (EAAC), in which I have participated in the development of the 2019 Clinical and Health Psychology program. I am also a member of the faculty of the Doctorate in Biomedical Sciences, from the Escuela de Medicina y Ciencias de la Salud, as a visiting professor. Currently I'm the Program Director of the Bachelor's Degree in Clinical and Health Psychology and member of the faculty of the psychology deparment.
