Cobián-González, Juan Carlos

Overview

I am part of the academic faculty at the Tecnologico de Monterrey, Monterrey Campus since 1986 where I also performed several functions related to academic administration as the Director of Communications at the Academic Vice-presidency and then as a former Dean of the Bachelor of International Relations, where I actively participated in the design of their curricula since its founding in 1991. I also had the responsability to be the Chair of the Department of Political Science and International Relations from January 2016 to August 2020. I was also part of the full-time faculty at the Department of Political Science and International Relations since its creation in Monterrey Campus until August 2022. I am currently a part-time professor at the Department of Political Science and International Relations Department. I have a BA in Communication Sciences, a master degree in Journalism with a emphasis in International Affairs and I am a PhD candidate in Humanistic Studies with emphasis in Literature and Discourse. My main areas of interest currently include International Relations, Cultural Studies, Journalism and Media, and Literature and Cinematic narrative. In recent years I have taught courses in European Regional Scenario, Regional Scenarios in the Contemporary World, Cooperation and Global Governance, International Organizations and Institutions, and Film, Literature and Culture.
