Full professor of Engineering Mechanics. Current Head of Department of Civil Engineering, ARchitecture and Design in Campus Puebla. I mainly teach in English and my courses include the use of social networks. I have been a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) from 2006 - 2009. I was a Senior Research Assistant at Swansea University working on Numerical Methods Research. In Campus Puebla of Tec de Monterrey I have been Head of School of Engineering for seven years, as well as head of different academic departments.

Full professor of Engineering Mechanics. Current Head of the Regional Department of Sustainable Technologies and Civil Engineering in the Southern-Central Region for Tec de Monterrey. During this period I have transformed the Faculty of the Dept with the attraction of 8 full time professors from top universities, ranked in QS top 10 (3), top 50 (3) and top 150 (2) whose scientific production has impacted the output of disciplines such as Chemical Engineering and Civil&Structural Engineering that are already ranking top 150 in the QS Rankings by Subject. In the last year, the Faculty of the Department I chair has had an output of over 50 Scopus Publications. As a professor, I have published over 70 scientific papers indexed by Scopus. In 2021, one of my papers won the award as the Most Innovative Paper in the IEEE-EDUCON conference, in VIenna Austria. This conference is the main European Conference for Eng Education. I have been a mentor of several colleagues through WritingLab, helping them publish for the first time. My position as a Professor of Engineering Mechanics has reached the whole world through a YouTube Channel with nearly 50,000 subscribers. .
