Overview

I have a bachelors degree in hispanic and latin american literature by the Universidad Regiomontana (Mexico), a masters degree in the same area by the UANL and a masters in education by the ITESM. I also received a certification in the redesign of teaching practices from the ITESM. I have been an associate professor there since 2009. I have participated actively in a program responsible for the redesigning of different courses and I have also implemented some new courses. In 2005 I was given an award for the best redesigned course in the area of humanities and social sciences. I have been a speaker in different national and international symposiums. My area of research is education, specifically of spanish as a native language . I was a member of a scientific committee responsible of evaluating different proposals for a symposium centered on education and organized by the ITESM. At the present I am an associate professor at the Department of Languages at the ITESM (Monterrey campus) where I have taught classes of spanish as a native language (specifically writing with specific purposes). I am an active member of a cluster of professors that teaches advanced writing. I have been a dissertation advisor for the Graduate School of Education at the ITESM. I am a co-author of an e-book titled Writing for specific purposes published by the ITESM.
