Particle manipulation employing alternating current electric fields in an array of insulators uri icon

Abstract

  • Applying an electric potential that varies in time, microparticle manipulation is achieved in a microchannel with insulating structures. Particles are trapped employing insulator-based dielectrophoresis. The location of trapped particles shows a time dependency, which is studied varying the frequency of the applied electric potential.
