This research presents the implementation of a language to describe a robot-based assembly and welding domain to generate programs for manufacturing robots. This language is used to describe an automated robotic-workcell. The developed system consists of the following subsystems: a High-level-language Planner, a Generic-level-language Parser, a Wrapper-generic-level language, and Graphic User Interface as well. Within this paper, it is presented an example of a generated program for a pick-and-place robot. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.
