Perform research focused on identification of useful biomarkers in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of different types of cancer, integrating the genetic variability, the environment and the lifestyle of each individual. Research lines 1. Identification and characterization of biomarkers associated with pathological response and survival in patients with breast cancer 2. Identification and characterization of biomarkers associated with the development of cancer and modulated by the interaction with the environment. 3. Application of pharmacogenomics in bioavailability of drugs, effectiveness of therapeutic targets and adverse effects. 4. Application of metabolomics studies for identification of environmental and obesogenic pollutants that are associated with or trigger some neoplasms.
