Professor of industrial engineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM) in Mexico for 37 years, as well as a consultant in applied statistics, Six Sigma and quality and productivity improvement for 31 years. He's an affiliate faculty in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Auburn University where he collaborated in the development of the NASA's Academy of Aerospace Quality
Since 1985 Dr. Escalante has worked as a consultant and instructor teaching numerous public and in-house professional training courses in Six Sigma, applied statistics, statistical software, problem solving techniques, and in quality and process improvement in Mexico, and in North, Central and South America. Some of the companies he has worked with as an instructor and/or as a consultant are General Motors, Carplastic, Rassini, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Xerox, Cummins, Nemak, General Electric Lighting, John Deere, Fersinsa Gist-Brocades, Teksid, Herberts Powder Coatings, Thomas & Betts, IBM, Lucent Technologies, and Philips.
Dr. Escalante holds a Ph.D. in Management Science from Lancaster University, a M.Sc. in industrial engineering from the Ohio State University, a Diploma of Higher Studies in Science from the Université de Rennes and a B.Sc. in Electronics engineering from Monterrey Tech. He's also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt from the American Society for Quality.
