Angel Bello-Acosta, Francisco Román

Overview

Francisco R. Ángel Bello Acosta is a Research Professor at the School of Engineering and Sciences of Tecnologico de Monterrey since 2001. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Systems Engineering (1998-2001) from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, Mexico, a Master degree in Physical-Mathematical Science (1983-1985) and Bachelor degree in Mathematics (1980-1985) from the Dagestan State University, Russia. He has taught both undergraduate and graduate level courses related to Optimization, Operations Research and its applications to logistics and supply chain management. His research line is focused on the design, development and implementation of models and solution methods for Combinatorial Optimization problems that arise in Operational Logistics and Data Mining. He has more than 50 peer-reviewed publications of which 27 are in JCR (15 Q1, 3 Q2, 3 Q3 and 1 Q4) and Scopus indexed journals. He has advised two post-doctoral research, seven Ph.D. and six M.S. theses. Since 2013 he has been a member of the National System of Researchers. He is currently a Level II National Researcher.
