Rodríguez-Guerra, Yatziri

Dr. Yatziri Rodríguez Guerra obtained her degree in Chemical Engineering with honors from the Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2004. In 2006, she received a Master of Science in Air Quality Control, Solid Waste and Waste Water Process Engineering from the Universität Stuttgart in Germany, with her thesis titled "Simulation of the ammonia slip oxidation catalyst" for DaimlerChrysler AG (now Mercedes-Benz AG). In 2016, she obtained a Doctorate in Engineering Sciences from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, with her dissertation titled "Milli- and Micro Structured Reactor Design Guidelines" for optimizing temperature profiles in milli and micro reactors, avoiding hot spots in highly exothermic reactions, especially to improve selectivity towards desired products in the Fischer-Tropsch reaction for synthetic oil production. She has 3 publications as author and co-author in indexed journals and was a member of the National System of Researchers of CONACYT. Dr. Rodríguez has 6 years of professional experience in areas related to alternative fuels and research in companies such as CEMEX and GMEM, among others. Currently, she has 9 years of teaching experience at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, and since 2022, she also serves as the director of the Master's program in Energy Management and Renewable Sources. She has taught various subjects in the Chemical Engineering program, mainly Energy Balance, Transport Phenomena, and Reactor Engineering. In the latter, she has been involved in designing the Course, the Challenge, and landing the Learning Partner Organization (PEMEX and Braskem Idesa).

My objective is to be a professor in the areas of alternative fuels, sustainable energy sources, energy management and chemical reactor design. I believe in creating a teaching environment where the students are engaged, can express their ideas and the learning process is fun, ensuring the knowledge is meaningful for their daily lives and their future as professionals.
