Perfecto-Avalos, Yocanxóchitl

Overview

Yocanxóchitl Perfecto Avalos is a Biotechnology Engineer from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional and has five years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She has a Master's Degree in Medical Sciences and Biotechnology and a Doctorate in Engineering Sciences for the Tecnológico de Monterrey. She has research interships at the Center for Applied Medical Research in the University of Navarra and at the Surgical Pathology Laboratory in ABC Medical Center in Mexico City. She is currently a full-time professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey campus Guadalajara, with the classification of assistant professor, she is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI-C 2020-2022), and teaches classes in Biotechnology Engineering career. She is a founding member of the Research Ethics Committee of Hospital La Misión in Monterrey, and a member of the Pharmacovigilance Committee of the State of Jalisco. She has 8 publications in indexed journals, one patent application, and her research includes the search for active compounds of marine organisms, modeling and validation of the dynamic interaction of the human microbiota, nanobiotechnology, and data science strategies for clinical and biological research.
