Vibration and noise from engines are important in customers¿ engine selection decisions. This work discusses a methodology for relating the combustion pres-sure developed with the resulting noise emissions from a gasoline engine. Various locations around the engine were marked and investigated. Relevant frequency ranges were extracted in which combustion-based noise could play a critical role. The proposed method can be used to modify the engine¿s structure to improve its performance on various NVH benchmarks. © 2025, Scibulcom Ltd.. All rights reserved.
