This paper presents a blockchain-based collaborative manufacturing platform designed to enable secure, efficient, and verifiable 3D printing splints for humanitarian applications. The platform integrates secure biometric authentication, equipment verification, quality control inspection, and digital licensing to create a reliable environment for distributed manufacturing. We demonstrated how this technology could enable aid organizations to rapidly deploy manufacturing capabilities in remote locations, ensure consistent quality, and provide equitable access to design innovations through a traceable, tamper-proof digital framework. This approach has the potential to transform the way critical supplies, medical devices, and infrastructure components are manufactured in the context of disaster response and refugee support. © 2025 IEEE.
