  • The global energy landscape is undergoing a profound transformation toward sustainable energy systems, motivated by imperatives to address climate change, to diminish environmental impact, and to enhance energy security. This study examines how corporate leaders shape energy transition through innovative sustainability strategies, providing insights into the challenges and opportunities that characterize this evolving landscape. We do this using the case of Mexico's energy transition. Employing a mixed-method approach, this study combines qualitative insights from interviews with experts from Mexican corporations with advanced, AI-driven analysis. This approach highlights key trends, including the need for adaptable policies, technological innovation, and collaborative efforts to overcome barriers to clean energy adoption. The study outlines several strategic actions to assist executives in effectively navigating the energy transition and in capitalizing on opportunities across diverse regional contexts. © 2024 Kelley School of Business, Indiana University
