abstract
- This paper presents a comparative analysis of two web services in real-time audio streaming, one dedicated to online communication and the other to professional audio streaming. These services have different architecture and software design processes that directly impact the workflow of users to playback, capture, or process digital signals without compromising audio data quality. The audio streaming services were compared in terms of frequency content and dynamic features before and after streaming acoustic signals in four conditions. The results of this study indicate the importance of dedicated audio-specific tools as alternatives to handle remote processes while guaranteeing high-quality audio on the other end. The relevance of our study supports the idea of using precise audio software for audio streaming, turning it into an ideal remote tool for academic areas.
