© 2015, Universidad del Zulia. All rights reserved. The collaboration builds confidence, helps the organization to innovate and able to generate competitive advantages. In this sense, this article discusses how collaboration among colleagues and the organization in business life in `maquila industry¿ in northeastern Mexico is evidenced. In particular, it examines whether there is a difference in the way of it is being taken, regarding the variables gender, age and job tenure. T tests were performed to check for significant differences between these groups of employees. It is concluded that the mature woman has difficulties in collaboration considering the demand of time involved. In addition, by increasing the age of the employee, the differences initially present at the start of working life are reduced. It evidences the effect of collaborative organizational culture without substantially regardless of gender or age issues.
