- © 2021 IEEE.The use of digital biomarkers in the treatment of diseases is becoming an important topic. With this, subtle changes in the variables described can give valuable information to detect and see the progression of several diseases. This study will evaluate the use of biomarkers in the diagnosis and monitoring of one of the prevalent diseases in the elderly: Alzheimer's disease. One of the signs of progression is aphasia, which denotes a loss of language skills. Other signs are the change in cardiac pulse and change in body temperature. These three variables are also digital biomarkers and are easily obtained with the help of various sensors. These sensors were tested until they had results that proven the ease of use, integration, and reliability of the data obtained. The storage and analysis of this data were possible using cloud computing solutions included in the Amazon Web Service platform. The data obtained from the test validate the accuracy of the sensor use compared with commercial devices. With the collection of voice, a deeper analysis of this biomarker would enable faster recognition of the disease outside the patients' medical appointments and enrich the actual knowledge of it.
