- © 2022This paper aims to analyze how the regulatory experiences of the English and North American models can provide insights for the Brazilian management of public water supply services. The study employed qualitative methods and secondary data to compare the Brazilian model with the other two models based on three main aspects, namely, technological, economic-tariff, and environmental. Comparatively, the experience of Brazilian regulatory bodies demonstrates an opportunity for improving various aspects, such as water loss control and the importance of using transparent and cohesive instruments, to contribute to the development of the sector.
