The membranes were fabricated with phosphorylcholine plus butyl methacrylate (PMB) and reinforced with nitrogen-doped graphene oxide functionalized with cysteamine (rGON-cis). The PMB concentration effects, the amount of the functionalizing agent, and the electrospinning parameters (polymer outflow and applied voltage) were studied. The maximum fiber length, average fiber diameter, diameter uniformity, and fiber quality were evaluated. The PMB membranes reinforced with rGON-cis showed an increase in the repulsion of low-density lipoproteins in function to oxidation degree. The repulsion of the membrane towards the low-density lipoproteins with medium oxidation was 26% ± 4. In contrast, the low-density lipoproteins with high oxidation increased the repulsion by 33% concerning the polymer without reinforcement.
