Sustainable development involves a reflective analysis of ethics, knowledge of our relationship with the environment for a better access mode, responsible management, participation and distribution of assets that do not deplete non-renewable natural resources in society. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the search for sustainable growth. In this sense, a professional who develops his/her work in this area should define the use of resources derived from raw materials that come from nature; intervene in the exploitation of environmental resources; make constructions that modify and improve natural environment areas. That is why bioethics plays a central role in achieving and balancing these actions. In addition, nowadays it is necessary to go deeper in the principles for sustainable development, mainly in those that take into account training with values so that a person's integrity is not compromised while performing activities that are not governed by a good procedure. Thus, in this discussion the role of engineering is explored in the issue of principles expected to guide sustainability education. This education is oriented to obtain a better training in engineering by contemplating codes of ethics and ending with the conclusions and suggested bibliography.
