- This paper studies a set of converters that have been individually introduced to the literature, but when analysing their topological principle, it can be concluded that they belong to the same family of double dual dc-dc converters. Several of them share the advantage of getting low common-mode voltage at the output side, which is a benefit in renewable energy generation applications. We explore the concept of double dual energy conversion, a systematic approach to obtaining double dual converters. We also present several state-of-the-art topologies, some existing and some new. Experimental results with one of the new topologies are presented to corroborate the principle of the described topological derivation. © IET Conference Proceedings. All right reserved.
