abstract
- Current 'Blue' BIM (Building Information Modeling) focuses on green building rating systems (e.g., LEED, BREAM) and for 3D modeling of plumbing systems. A reduced group of tools works on specific applications, such as safety of the systems, evaluation of stormwater runoff, and rainwater harvesting. Most of the studies mentioned only provide assumptions or partial efficiency simulation analysis, thus implementing of 'Blue' BIM has remained limited. The aim of this study is to develop a framework for integrating water efficiency in supply systems with BIM in design and operation phases of the project. The proposed framework will help to better understand the dynamic inside water efficiency in buildings and the key role of BIM in integrating digital technologies to achieve sustainability. © 2023 PICMET (Portland International Center for Management of Engineering and Technology(.
