Assessment of Knowledge Gaps in Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Among Engineering Faculty Members: An Empirical Study Academic Article in Scopus uri icon

  • This research aims to determine how well Outcome-Based Education (OBE) ideas and practices are known through-out the Indian educational system, particularly among engineering faculty members. The study results from a one-week faculty development training on OBE in April 2022, where the data was collected through an online survey using convenience sampling. The authors applied descriptive statistics to the data using Microsoft Excel, post-labeling, and coding. The results showed a transformation of the educational paradigm in India, with most faculty members stating that their program is accredited and that they are aware of the complete process followed by the National Board of Accreditation in India. The results also cover the perspective of the New Education Policy (NEP-2020) in the Indian education system. © 2023 IEEE.
