abstract
This paper recollects the knowledge, experience, and common sense of Digital Lean researchers and consultants based on a set of open interviews that were used to gather and document their best practice approaches (including principles, methods, and tools) for the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies to assemble a set of method-based toolboxes for supporting Lean practitioners in the Digital Transformation initiatives of their shop floor main processes. The Digital Lean Method-based Toolboxes are structured as a collection of aims, targets, expected benefits, and go/no-go questions for launching or not a Digital Transformation initiative for a shop floor process, and a set of cautions, principles, methods, and tools if it is a "go"for increasing its chances of success. © 2023 IEEE.
