abstract

  • The objective of this work is to defend a proposal for the design of the Law curriculum that is aligned with the needs of the Constitutional State. Based on the comparison between two models: the traditional or orthodox and the Competency-Based Education (CBE), taken from specialized literature, I will present seven theses in favor of a model that takes elements from each one and omits others. The result obtained is a virtuous combination that avoids the flaws of each approach. Some elements come exclusively from the orthodox model, others from the CBE, and others are supported by both. The desired result is that the curriculum plans that follow these suggestions promote an education that combines conscious knowledge with practical skills, without neglecting either of them. © 2024, Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico.
