Introduction: Advances in Interdisciplinary Research: Pioneering Innovations and Sustainable Practices Towards Open Science

Major challenges require interdisciplinary scientific approaches that complement one another to generate new solutions. In this context, researcher training necessitates the integration of disciplinary knowledge with the implementation of open innovation practices aimed at achieving sustainable development. This work seeks to propose innovative approaches to researcher training, emphasising collaboration and co-creation. This chapter broadens the horizon by presenting theoretical and practical contributions foundational to the work Advances in Interdisciplinary Research: Pioneering Innovations and Sustainable Practices Towards Open Science. It begins with an overview of recent conceptual frameworks, followed by a discussion of the context that inspired this work.
