abstract

  • With its remarkable potential to take on traditional `human¿ tasks in organizations, AI has depersonalized critical situations in our professional lives. However, this also raises an intriguing question: Can AI contribute to one of the most critical processes for a firm¿s long-term survival and competitive advantage: innovation? AI should be ¿less artificial¿ and more human, conceptualizing the role of these new technologies in social relations. This shift is not just a possibility but an urgent need. The present chapter argues for the importance of organizationsin this AIera restoring their ¿human dimension¿ to humans with a sense of urgency, freeing them from routines, and amplifying creativity and socialization. It asserts that even if technologies replaced employees¿ routinized tasks, they would not diminish the importance of communication and language but amplify them, which is crucial for knowledge sharing and innovation. This chapter also underlines the potential of AI to enhance human creativity and socialization, thereby contributing to a more optimistic view of the future of work.
