Here, theneutrons are used as a tool with a particular purpose or, they are produced as secondary particles by the ionizing radiationinteractions with the matter[1-7]. Measuring the neutron spectrum is not a trivial task because they lack electric charge, therefore their measurement is carried out through the secondary effect that neutron produce in the detectors. The ambient dose equivalent (H*(10)) is an operative magnitude that is measured with neutron area monitors; also the H*(10) can be calculated if the neutron spectrum is known. The adverse effect of neutrons is up to 20 times larger than gamma-rays, therefore several efforts have been carried out to use a simple and easy method to measure the H*(10), so far the best way to do it using a neutron area monitor. [8]. Neutron around medical use accelerators induce errors in the electronics, produce activation in walls and materials, and can provide an additional dose to the patient, the general public, the radiation workers, and, hospital staff [9-13].In this chapter, we are going to do a review about neutron dosimetry, and why is important to determine it correctly.
