Díaz-González, Luis Fernando

Overview

He was born on December 3rd, 1989 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. From 1997 to 2001 he lived in Austin, Texas where he began his musical education playing trombone and being part of the school band and jazz band. In 2007 he entered Tecnológico de Monterrey to study Animation and Digital Art, and at the same time he became interested in electronic music and by 2009 he was playing as a DJ and started using production software. In 2010 he enrolled in the Digital Music Production major and participated in the Festival de la Canción del Tec in the first edition of the category electronic music and won. He participated in the Festival de Música Electrónica del Tec from 2011 to 2013, winning in 2012. In April 2014, he participated in the Tec's Ensemble 41 Concert dedicated to Ricky Martin, producing two electronic tracks and performing them live. In the summer of 2014, he was certified in Pro Tools as "Operator Music" by engineer Jose "Chilitos" Valenzuela at Audiograph International in Santa Monica, California. In December 2014, he graduated as an engineer in the first generation of Digital Music Production. After graduating, he worked in various areas of audio, such as live sound, engineer for online radio, and assistant at El Cielo Recording Studio in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. From 2016 to 2017 he studied a master's degree in Music Production, Technology and Innovation at Berklee College of Music, Valencia campus, and presented as his thesis an audiovisual performance of electronic music. Additionally he worked on campus as a studio assistant and participated in two Berklee music events, one with an audiovisual performance of original electronic music and another in an ensemble filling the role of synthesizers and sequences. He is currently a professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey in the Digital Music Production and Music Production and Technology career, where he has taught the subjects of Production and Mixing Workshop, Audio Engineering, Theory and Practice of Sound, Music Production Project, Application of Technology, Auditory Training, Digital Sound Production, Multidisciplinary Music Appreciation, among others. He works as an engineer in his own studio, Cyberia, offering production, recording, mixing and mastering services, among others. He has his own musical projects, such as Sentidos Apuestos, a Vaporwave music project with which he has performed at Foro Indie Rocks in Mexico City and Black Box in Tijuana. He also produces ambient music such as Slow Natured.
