Nava-Morales, Carmen Olivia

Overview

Carmen holds a Ph.D. in Development Studies from Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas, a Master's degree in International Commercial and Industrial Strategies from Aix-Marseille University in France, and a Bachelor's degree in International Trade from Tecnológico de Monterrey. She is currently a full-time professor at the School of International Business and Logistics at Tecnológico de Monterrey in Aguascalientes, where she is dedicated to preparing the next generation of professionals. Her academic research focuses on the intersection of international trade, global value chains, and development, and she has presented her work at conferences such as the UNAM Biennial of North American Studies and AIB-LAC. She also serves as a bridge to the industry, providing consulting and training in foreign trade to the business sector, with a focus on trade policy, free trade agreements, rules of origin, and customs regulations. With a background in both the public and private sectors, Carmen has led strategic projects related to strategic bonded facilities, inland customs, and the promotion of exportable goods. Additionally, she collaborates as an evaluator for the National Export Award and the Best Mexican Companies recognition.
