Asencio-del Real, Imelda

Imelda Asencio is a teacher at the Tec de Monterrey, Campus Guadalajara. Her main professional area is digital animation. Prof. Asencio has worked at prominent digital art studios in Jalisco, where she worked as a digital artist both in animation and in character set-up. Prof. Asencio has a Master ?s in 3D Animation and Post-Production - Digital Design University and a Bachelor ?s in Computer Systems Engineering - Tecnológico de Monterrey. She made an animated short film as a master ?s thesis called "La Cita". Prof. Asencio ?s short film, has been screened in national and international festivals, such as Guadalajara Film Festival (FICG) and Cannes Film Festival, France. Currently, Professor Asencio collaborates with the Department of Communication and Digital Art at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Guadalajara. Her courses are 3D Animation, Advanced Animation, Animation Basics, Art and Technology Final Project and Digital Design Lab, for the B.A. of Digital Animation and the B.A. of Communication in Digital Media.
