Dr. José Junior Luna has a PhD in Aerospace Manufacturing. The main topic of his research was on supply chain and data science applied to the aerospace sector. He studied his PhD at Cranfield University and the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. Dr. Luna spent the last two years of his PhD at the Institute for Manufacturing (IFM), part of the Engineering Department at the University of Cambridge.
The research of Dr. Luna at the University of Cambridge was published in a world-leading manufacturing scientific journal. In addition, he published and presented his research in international conferences: 'International Conference on Operations and Supply Chain Management. Cranfield University, United Kingdom' and '6th International Conference on Through-life Engineering Services. Bremen, Germany'.
Dr. Luna studied a MSc in Aerospace Manufacturing at Cranfield University, United Kingdom. As part of his research, he participated in projects with top-aerospace manufacturing companies, such as Bombardier (Belfast, Northern Ireland) and Bromford Industries (Birmingham, England).
As part of his main achievements as a student, Dr. Luna obtained in two times a scholarship from the Mexican government (CONACYT): one for his master's degree and one for his PhD. Moreover, he graduated with honours from Tec de Monterrey Campus Querétaro, where he studied Mechatronics Engineering, and was recognised as the best student from his institution by the ANFEI (National Association of Engineering Schools and Faculties).
