Mora-Dávila, Fernando Adrián

Overview

Fernando holds a PhD in Humanistic Studies with a specialization in Ethics from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico City Campus, supported by a CONACYT scholarship. He earned a Bachelor¿s degree in Philosophy from Universidad Panamericana and completed studies in Public Affairs at The City University of New York (CUNY), where he also served as an assistant to the Senior Policy Advisor at the nonprofit organization Safe Horizon, contributing to public policy initiatives focused on supporting vulnerable populations. His academic trajectory includes a research fellowship at the Ibero-American Institute in Berlin, Germany, where his work centered on the analysis of public policies and security strategies addressing at-risk youth in Latin America. Over time, his research agenda has evolved from public security policy and human flourishing to his current focus on digital humanities and the ethics of artificial intelligence, with particular emphasis on data, algorithms, and social responsibility. Currently, Fernando serves as Regional Director of the Department of Humanistic Studies at Tecnológico de Monterrey for the Western-Center Region. Throughout his institutional career, he has held roles as professor, mentor, Director of the Multicultural Program at PrepaTec, and Associate Director of the School of Humanities and Education at the Sonora Norte Campus. In his leadership role, Fernando oversees multidisciplinary academic teams, drives educational innovation, and leads high-impact initiatives in ethical education for technological contexts. He is pursuing an Executive MBA (Arizona State University ¿ Tecnológico de Monterrey), which has strengthened his strategic leadership and institutional management capabilities.
