Everardo-Pérez, Flavio Omar

Flavio Omar Everardo Pérez. Mexican. Born on February 17th of 1987 in Villahermosa Tabasco, Mexico. Graduated from the bachelor's degree in Engineering in Systems and Information Technologies (2010), and the Master's degree in Computer Science (2011), both at Universidad de las Americas Puebla. Currently, Flavio is pursuing his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly in the area of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning from the University of Potsdam, in Germany. In spite of his curricula is oriented as a computer scientist, his research involves the use of Answer Set Programming (ASP) as the knowledge-driven AI in the music domain, having applications and publications (including his Master thesis) in areas such as automatic composition, autonomous multitrack mixing, and equalization. In parallel, Flavio takes his music career as a Trance music producer, DJ, and co-founder of the Mexican electronic music label 750 Records, incubated at TEC Puebla back in 2012. With two previous experiences at TEC Puebla as a part-time educator, now Flavio holds a full-time professor position for the Music Production career.
