I am a professor in the Department of Civil Engineering since 2001 where I taught several courses at the professional level in the areas of Hydrology, Geomatics, GIS and Environmental Engineering, and Information Technology course at masters level. I am in charge since 2008 of Geomatics' Laboratory being my particular interest the inclusion of new technologies and teaching strategies for the renewal of teaching practice. Actively participated in the TEC21 initiative in 2014 collaborating with other teachers in Collaborative Learning under Flipped Classroom Model Project, presenting the experience at the 1st International Congress of Educational Innovation in the CD. Of Mexico. I am currently working on the project of Technology Platforms Experimentation using Schoology platform and designing a training workshop for teachers on using the model Flipped Classroom model.
Additionally I have done various consulting projects on behalf of ITESM related to the diagnosis and treatment of industrial wastewater for the Center for Environmental Quality; obtaining Operational Best Practices for water utilities in Mexico, a project developed within the Centre for Water Research sponsored by the NADBank; analysis and hydrologic modeling of the Conchos River for the World Wildlife Foundation also within the Water Research Centre at ITESM. I participated in the initial phase of a comprehensive study on the San Juan River Basin for Water Institute of Nuevo Leon; I made a partial hydrologic modeling of Santa Catarina river for the town of San Pedro Garza Garcia, NL, and other consulting services related to hydrological studies for individuals.
I am a member of the American Water and Wastewater Association and the International Water Association. I have worked with Autodesk Academic Network in the academic widespread use of various Autodesk programs in the practice of Civil Engineering, specifically GIS software.
