Domínguez-Solís, Germán

Overview

He is an Engineer in Information and Communications Technologies and has a master's degree in Information Technology Administration from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Monterrey, Mexico, in 2012 and 2015. He has various certificates in the area of Data Science and IT: Professional Certificate in Data Science Data and Enterprise Data Science Certificate from IBM, Cloud Computing and AI Certificate from Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Professor Facilitator. Mr. Domínguez has more than 10 years of teaching experience and is currently Director of Entry of Computing and Information Technologies at the School of Engineering and Sciences, Monterrey Region of the Tecnológico de Monterrey. He has taught online classes with more than 900 students in the areas of Programming, Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. He has participated as a course designer for in-person, distance learning, hybrid, and self-paced online formats nationwide. He is a designer and instructor of courses for accountants from the IMCP (Mexican Institute of Public Accountants), courses in LMS (Learning Management Systems), advanced Microsoft Excel courses and workshops on new technologies for education. He is a writer of Insights related to Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for Continuing Education at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Likewise, he is a consultant in the private sector for SMEs performing data analysis, reports and dashboards for decision making. Currently he develops educational research and innovation projects with artificial intelligence and student and teacher data analytics. In 2018 he received the Inspiring Teacher Tutor award at the national professional level, awarded by Digital Education of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico. Likewise, he received the awards for Best Teacher Evaluated by Students (ECOA) in 2017 and 2019 in online courses in e-commerce and technology and technological innovation systems.
MSc. German Dominguez is lead academic tutor professor at the department of Digital Education at Tecnologico de Monterrey, in Monterrey, Mexico. MSc. Dominguez has a Master of Science in Information Technologies (MSIT) and a BSc. in Information Technologies and Communications from Tecnologico de Monterrey. He also has en IBM Professional Data Science Certification, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Azure AI Certifications, He performs research in Educational Technologies and teaches online undergraduate level courses with over 100o students in Mexico. In addition, he is a part-time lecturer at the department of Management Information Systems at Tecnologico de Monterrey. Since 2016, he has been a workshop instructor of LMS (Learning Management Systems) platforms such as Blackboard and Canvas for the use and deployment in courses of the Tec21 educational model at Tec. And since 2020 he is a volunteer professor at CEDDIE Campus Monterrey helping peer profesores in topics such as Canvas, Elumen and Zoom. In the private sector, he is consultant in the field of data analytics and IT for business solutions. He gas worked in the IT sector implementing surveillance camera systems and in his own repair shop for computers and movile devices. In 2018, MSc. Dominguez received the Inspiring Tutor Professor award, given by Tecnologico de Monterrey for an exceptional academic work in Digital Education. MSc. Dominguez has also received the awards of Best Evaluated Teacher by students for his results in the Teacher Evaluation Survey (ECOA) in 2017 and 2019 in online courses of E-commerce and Technology, and Technological Innovation Systems.
