Hernández-Muñoz, María Ingrid de la Paz
Overview
Twenty-five years of professional experience added to a wide-range of international academic accomplishments provided me with a keen vision to assess overall themes related to inter-institutional projects and programmes. I studied a Master's Degree on Public Relations at Boston, Massachusetts and a Doctorate degree in Political and Social Sciences. All of these experience abroad gave me the ability to bring insights and experience around the challenges and the opportunities presented by trading across borders and cultures, as well as to communicate in writing and verbally complex ideas to a range of multicultural audiences. Being a teacher and the National Communications Coordinator of the School of Humanities and Education at Tecnológico de Monterrey, provided me with the understanding of the academic landscape and the priorities of the institution worldwide. Through an entrepreneurial and leadership vision, I founded KÓST, a Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability consultancy to provide strategy and community programs to an international range of private and public organizations. Specializing in strategic planning, I worked at Burson Marsteller (International Public Relations Firm) for the Latin American market out of Miami, Florida. My work there focused on the design, development and coordination of Public Affairs, Corporate Social Responsibility and Communications Programs adapted to diverse local realities. Working at the External Affairs Department Press section, for the Interamerican Development Bank in Washington, D. C., as well as leading the development of the international communication and dissemination strategy for the 4th World Water Forum, contributed to acquire a broader vision of global issues. And from a government perspective, working as Chief of the Foreign Information Department for the Office of the President of Mexico, expanded not only my worldwide network, but my ability to work with the international media.
I am an astute listener and a strong and willing team player as well as an approachable, realistic and dedicated individual. My profound knowledge of the international arena, added to my multicultural sensitivity, makes me a well-rounded professional and leader for understanding and leading any initiative that may arise. Yoga, physical training and writing fiction are a key part of my personality.
