I have postdoctoral experience at INECOL and Tecnológico de Monterrey. I hold a PhD in urban forest spatial planning from the University of Toronto, Canada. My profile includes research, teaching, science communication, and consulting. I investigate ecology and restoration in urban, peri-urban, and rural areas. My urban ecology research encompasses spatial planning, forestry, community engagement, and socio-environmental issues. I have 17 published scientific articles (7 as first author, 4 as corresponding author). I am a candidate in the National System of Research Information (SNII). I have extensive experience in the development, management, and successful completion of research projects, as well as in securing funding; I have received 13 awards, grants, and recognitions. For 12 years, I have taught at the graduate and undergraduate levels at national institutions (UNAM, INECOL, UAQ) and international institutions (University of Toronto), including courses such as "Nature-Based Urban Solutions," "Urban Green Infrastructure," and "Geographic Information Systems," among others. I have supervised theses and served on evaluation committees for undergraduate and graduate degrees. I hold a Diploma in Science Communication (UNAM), have published 14 articles, and have conducted numerous outreach activities, including workshops, talks, and audiovisual materials, for both children and adults. I have also carried out outreach activities and interviews for print, online, radio, and television media. These experiences have prepared me to communicate with diverse audiences and have strengthened my experience in community engagement. I have conducted community-based projects in urban and rural areas, including workshops, surveys, co-design of interventions, mapping, and the corresponding analyses and publications resulting from these activities.
