Miró-Zárate, Luis Angel
Overview
Dr. Luis Angel Miró Zárate is a Mechanical Engineer from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional. He obtained his Master of Science degree in Energy Systems Engineering specializing in parametric diagnosis of gas turbines in 2011. He received his Doctor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering performing his research in the development of algorithms for the analysis of gas path variables in gas turbines for preventive maintenance in these engines in August 2017.
Dr. Miró is author of 4 JCR articles published in prestigious indexed journals, as well as 4 software for parametric diagnosis of gas turbines registered with INDAUTOR. He was a professor in Thermal Engineering at the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of the IPN from 2010 to 2020. Since January 2015 he has been a professor at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey at Campus Santa Fe. He was director of the Master in Energy Management and its Renewable Sources (MER-V), one of the 4 professional impact programs at ITESM from January 2021 to July 2022. He is currently part of the Department of Mechanics and Advanced Materials where he teaches subjects related to advanced thermodynamics, thermofluids, heat exchanger analysis, power generation systems, with both conventional and renewable sources, and energy management topics, among others.
