Longhurst-Leany, Heber Marvin

Heber Longhurst, PhD, CFA has a doctoral degree in finance from the International School of Management (3.87/4.00). His doctoral dissertation was entitled: Collaborative Governance in Impact Investing in Mexico: A Multiple Case Study". He also has an MBA (with honors) in Global Finance from Thunderbird (ranked #1 in International Business in the world). Heber has more than a decade of experience in the financial services industry in fixed income securities research, equity research and portfolio management including: CitiBanamex, Interacciones and the Mexico Equity and Income Fund. In the CFA Institute Research Challenge, Dr. Longhurst has had more winning teams than any other mentor in Mexico and is currently a member of the board of directors of the CFA Society of Mexico where is is currently the Ethics Chair. Furthermore, Heber has a consulting and training company where he prepares students for the Level-I, Level-II and Level-III exams for the CFA Program. Heber is passionate about teaching and believes that education is the key to transform individuals as well as societies.
