Dr. Luis Enrique Vázquez de la Paz is a distinguished full-time scholar in the ECSG Law Department at Tecnológico de Monterrey. His academic and teaching focus is on the intersection of Law and Technology. He has contributed significantly to initiatives that promote ethical and responsible development of artificial intelligence, including the creation of the "Jalisco Manifesto" for a more human-like AI and his participation in the fAIr LAC Jalisco working group and the PasiA initiative, which promotes technological entrepreneurship. In the field of civic technology, Dr. Vázquez is the director of a cryptocurrency hardware trading company and leads a project dedicated to Bitcoin mining. Collectively, he has collaborated with various organizations committed to decentralization, focusing on the management and implementation of tools that promote resilient and transparent peer-to-peer interactions. In his research, Dr. Vázquez has explored strengthening privacy and safeguards in the use of emerging technologies. In addition, it has redefined political and social principles and rights in the digital age. He is an active speaker, sharing his findings and perspectives both nationally and internationally.
