PhD in History from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores, 1. I have performed as academic administrative at Instituto Mora, Conaculta, UNAM and Tecnológico de Monterrey (Tec). Currently I am researcher at the National School of Education and Humanities from the Tecnológico de Monterrey. I have published several books, chapters of books, articles in specialized journals and newspaper editorials that approach the Modern and Contemporary History of Mexico. I am the author of "La noche develada. La Ciudad de México en el siglo XIX" (20179, "Ciudad de México, entre el Águila y el Ángel" (2016), "Candil de la calle, oscuridad de su casa" and "La iluminación en la ciudad de México durante el Porfiriato" (2008). In addition, I have been co-author, coordinator or editor of several books among which are: "Motivos para amar a México" (2015), "Siglo XXI: una oportunidad para México" (2013), "México en dos épocas: la Independencia y la Revolución 1810-1821/1910-1921" (2013), "Ideas y afanes de una patria, México en el bicentenario" (2010), and "México, un país, cuatro escenarios" (2008).
