Freeman,Emma Catherine

Overview

Originally from the United Kingdom, Emma Freeman is a professor in the Humanities Department and holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic Literature and Cultural Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, USA. Emma is the leader of the design team for the new Hispanic literature degree program and teaches a broad range of literature courses in both English and Spanish. She is a representative of the classification process for the School of Humanities, a professor in the Global Classroom program, a member of the Book Fair steering committee and a participant in the Body Studies Seminar. Her doctoral thesis was the first critical study of the theater of the award-winning Mexican playwright, Felipe Santander, and she has presented her research at various international conferences. She has worked in educational institutions in seven countries on four different continents.
