Overview

Worked in HP 19 years in the Global Tarde Department as WW Regulatory Compliance Manager II Some of the Accomplishments: -Direct, & Participated in one of the most important and historic WW split in the history of the electronic BU history ¿ "HP Company split " were it cost to the firm $1.8 Billion (USD) and in reconstruction $950 MUSD only in taxes, creating 2 new companies HPI & HPE up and running, that still remains both companies in the top 500 companies WW. One of the key elements is that, this was done in 1 year and without stopping daily operation WW. I was able to design strategies, direct and participated in the Split representing the WW Global Trade Department. -Participate in different acquisitions, fusions, due diligence such as Compaq, Agilent Technologies among others. -Achieve low risk in Customs Invoices WW- compliance aspect Responsibilities: Create and ensure compliance fiscal / logistics and customs strategies for new business, re- engineer and reduce cost in current strategies for BU, ensure the legal wording for import and export contracts, solving any customs problema and litigate them, advice the business or technical areas related with Customs & Export matters as well as helping to close or solve any imports and export gap or risk in their process. Give training to BU and ensure all BU process are align with Export laws such as Export Administration Regulation topics & Customs related topics. Act as contact and liaison for the Government and HP business regarding, Custom Audits and non-routine notification, participated in different project as SME, etc .
