Rubio-Campos, Jesús

Overview

Doctor in Public Policy and Master in Public Administration and Public Policy from the Tecnológico de Monterrey. Economist from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León. He completed an in person executive program on energy policy at Harvard University. He also has certificates in Evaluation of Social Programs from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MITx) and the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (JPAL) in edX (Online), as well as in "Creative Thinking" from the Imperial College of London via Coursera (Online). He has been part of the National System of Researchers of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) since 2012, currently at level 1. His specialty is public policy analysis and labor studies. It has a wide variety of book chapters and articles published in scientific journals. He has advised multiple graduate and postgraduate theses. He has published and been a speaker or teacher in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico and Venezuela. As a consultant, he has advised federal, state and municipal governments, as well as international CSOs on issues related to the labor market, gender equality, violence prevention, transparency and open government. He has been a professor of public policy and economics at the undergraduate, graduate and executive course levels at various universities in Mexico, Colombia and Peru. He is currently a senior research professor at El Colegio de la Frontera Norte A.C. in México (The College of the Northern Border), Monterrey Branch, assigned to the Department of Public Administration Studies and professor in the business and social sciences departments of the Universidad de Monterrey, as well as undergraduate and graduate professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
