Gómez-Garza, Erik Hasan

Overview

My name is Erik Hasan Gomez Garza and I was born in Monterrey, Mexico where I currently reside and work. In 2013 I got my Bachelor Degree in Engineering Physics from ITESM and a Master's Degree in Music Production, Technology and Innovation from Berklee College of Music in 2017. Between 2013 and 2017 I lived in Los Angeles (CA) where I studied an Associate Degree in Keyboard Technology with an emphasis in Audio Engineering in Musicians Institute College of Contemporary Music, and worked in a recording studio as chief engineer. During my Master's Degree I presented audiovisual installations in art galleries in Portugal and Spain and video content in large music events outside and inside the academia. I've been an Adjunct Professor at ITESM for 1.5 years, teaching in the Digital Music Production program and working as a freelance audiovisual producer. During this time I have also lead a group of students in the creation of a Sound Art Installation presented at the Festival Nacional de Cultura y las Artes and have been part of two workshops in audiovisual production. I have been invited to be the judge in the student's final project presentations and have also been a direct advisor for several students in these deliveries. I am deeply passionate about teaching and the inner workings of the mind during the learning and teaching process, and that motivates me to generate structures that can help create a better environment in the classroom
