Ortega-Fierro, Lilia Margarita

Overview

I started my career as a teacher at Tecnológico de Monterrey in January 2004, I finished my postgraduate studies in Humanities (2007) which allowed me to work in the college division as well. In internationalization projects, I worked as a visiting professor at the Fudan University in Shanghai (2008, 09) and at the Beijing Foreign Studies University (2012,13). As Manager of these internationalization programs for students in China, India and Korea, I worked in negotiation, tutoring and logistics, adding a nearly three-year experience in Asia for the development of new international and multicultural programs. In 2015, I was in charge of coordinating the ITESM liaison office at Oklahoma State University for summer programs. With the International Affairs Office, I have collaborated with propedeutic seminars for students on their trip to China, preparing manuals, information, and follow up on visas, as well as negotiations with universities in China for multicultural projects. The English as a Second Language (ESL, 2007) certification at McGill University, as well as the Ethics Argumentation in Professions (2013) course at the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain, allowed me to focus on Ethics, Citizenship and Accountability Social, all in the bilingual mode. Since 2005, I have been actively involved in the generation and implementation of community service projects for the involvement of professional and high school students. From February 2019 to March 2021 I worked in the Ministry of Culture, as coordinator of the two Book Fairs of the state of Chihuahua (FELICH / FELIF) achieving a significant improvement in attendees, editorials and attention to vulnerable groups. I am currently Director Associate of the School of Humanities and Education of Campus Chihuahua.
