Overview

Jaime Martínez Bowness is director of the Mexico City site of EGADE Business School, the #1 graduate business school in Latin America, which is part of Tecnológico de Monterrey. Jaime has been an entrepreneur in the educational and social sectors for 15 years. Jaime is Chairman of the Board of Fundación Pro Universitaria, A.C., a non-profit organization for youth employability that has benefited more than 14,000 university students with internship opportunities and scholarships. He is co-founder and co-leader of the Citibanamex Jóvenes de Excelencia Program, which has sent more than 400 low-income university students to pursue graduate degrees at the best universities abroad. He is also the founder of Jóvenes que Impactan, a non-profit program that teaches job skills to 280 youth a year in four cities across the country. In the past, Jaime has founded schools and several other educational projects, including Profesionistas.org.mx, the website with the most visitors on the topic of youth employability in Spanish, and numerous national surveys and studies - from the 2014 CIDAC National Skills Survey to the National Survey of Graduates 2018 and 2019 - on labor competencies and employability. Jaime is a frequent guest in national and international media and forums. He obtained a bachelor's degree in Political Science at ITAM, attained an MBA from Duke University and holds certifications in continuing education from the University of California at San Diego and Berkeley.
